I served our country twice in combat as a gay man during ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ trained as an Airborne Paratrooper, Arabic Linguist, Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Non-Commissioned Officer. I have worked with hundreds of campaigns for the last 15 years, dedicating my post-military life to our party. I have organized alongside my fellow union workers to negotiate fair treatment for working people.
I know what true selfless service means — and it stands in sharp contrast to the corrupt, fascist, and megalomaniacal Trump-Abbott-Paxton agenda that is tearing our state, country, and world apart to enrich the privileged few at the top.
This is American carnage: from ICE’s indiscriminate and lethal violence, to racist redistricting designed to erase the blood spilled by our elders for the ballot box, to the war and policy that is making life unaffordable for us all except the oligarchic billionaires.
We need a Texas Democratic Party ready to outwork, out-organize, out-message, and outvote the forces of MAGA, the oligarchy, and white supremacy, to build prosperity and opportunity for all and into the future.
I am the most experienced candidate in this race and the best person for the job. With a decade of experience working within the state party and county parties, I saw both successes and failures. I know how to run a party by working transparently and efficiently in coalition with our allies, without sacrificing our Democratic and Organized Labor values — I always put people over personal gain. I have the plan for the next 4 years as TDP Chair and a path to victory in this race — but I need your help. What will a contribution go toward? We have a low-end budget of $25,000 to ensure we have the basics to pay a full-time, experienced campaign manager, purchase promotional materials, cover statewide travel, and execute campaign communications across the board.
